Releasing Genjutsu isnt something that any regular ninja who is not a genjutsu master can do… thats why the only people able to release Itachis Tsukuyomi sharingan was Kurenai and Sasuke… and releasing techniques are something only genjutsu and medi-nin learn…

any ninja could learn it if they wanted to its not just the medical core and genjutsu users. For one of the examples theres Shikamaru, hese not a medical ninja and im pretty sure he doesnt use genjutsu and yet he can do it. (if u dont remember him doing it he did it when kabuto put everyone to sleep in the arena for the 3rd part of the Chunin exams)

earlier whan i was talking about shika it was the 3rd Chunin exam not the Sasuke retrieval arc.
in the Exams he actually DID release the genjustu, and Sakura got mad at him for pretending to still be under Kabuto’s genjutsu because he didnt want to be involved in anything that had been going on.
He broke his finger when he was fighting Tayuya in the Sasuke retrieval arc because her genjutsu paralyzed him and he couldn’t move his hands to do the release genjutsu hand-sign but he already had his Shadow strangle justsu prepared to be used

wasn’t it mentioned that releasing gen-jutsu is one of the basic techniques in one of the early episodes of Naruto? …I’m thinking that it’s not the releasing gen-jutsu that’s hard.. It’s figuring out whether a jutsu is a gen or which is real, you know what I mean?
cause. come to think of it.. if it was THAT easy to just release it, then genjutsu will be pointless. the hard part is distinguishing the difference between a gen jutsu and an actual one.
apparently, naruto isn’t that smart to know that it was only a genjutsu.

Lucky then, that the fourth Hokage did not order their death. Maybe you forgot, or do not know, but the fourth Hokage gave his life to seal the 9-tails in Naruto long before this event. If your referring to Sarutobi Hiruzen, the 3rd Hokage, then I suggest you just keep watching.
