if your brain thinks something is real, it makes it real. it is not uncommon for a brain to give up. ie, say someone is hallucinating. In the hallucination, said person dies. the brain will shut down, and the person will die.

Ok, as @-said said if you think you die your brain will give it up by shutting down, the part about burning I don agree with, to burn you need a source of intense heat which your body can’t create. I think since her genjutsu is so strong it actually can burn you if you think it’s there.

logically impossible it is instinct to constantly breath and keep your heart beating even when you are sleeping or unconscios the only way you could die is if you halusanate in a dangerous enviroment and your halusanation causes you to die (eg: you see a play-ground on the edge of a cliff and you walk towards it and fall)
