    Actually, the only reason Minato(Naruto’s Dad) is able to summon Cheif Toad is because Jiraiya was Minato’s teacher, and the only reason Naruto can summon him is because Jiraiya taught him the summoning jutsu aswell.

  simple! ill explain. the old man is the third hokage, he was hokage before the fourth hokage died, so after the fourth died he became hokage again. they still only consider him the third hokage.

  Minato took over the 3rd hokages but the 3rd was obviously still alive becasue hes appeared in the last 56 episodes. Its just that Minato (4th hokage) died saving the village from the ninetails fox… U will understand more one you get to shippuden it explains it all and even shows it happeing but warning its very sad.

    Tsunade never actually died or lost the position. She was heavily wounded at one point, but not enough that she would die. And Danzo was the candidate for the 6th. Although for some reason, I wouldn’t be surprised if after Tsunade dies or loses the position, Kakashi becomes the Hokage.
