  not for a while. he was with his moms brother before the kazekage ordered gaaras assassination his moms brother had to kill gaara but it failed and he blew him self up trying to kill gaara then after awhile kankuro and and temari took him. do you see any resemblence in kankuros father from gaara? …..nope he was taken in. just like naruto was like. but even with being taken in temari and kankuro were scared to go near him still. he was the sand villages weapon…..
