  OH NO NO NO ..Itachi had to choose between the village or his clan and so he made a deal with Danzo ..if he leaves his bro alive hell become a rogue ninja and if he kills the whole clan he may be considered as a hero but he loved Sasuke too much for that.

  Itachi was ordered by Hiruzen Sarutobi (3rd HK) to be a spy within the Uchiha clan since they were planning something, he did not tell Itachi to kill them, but Danzo told him to kill them all except the one most dear to him, if he did not, Danzo would kill every single one of them and leave no survivors, when Itachi dies in Shippuden he wanted Sasuke to be known as the one to bring justice to the Uchiha Slaughterer so he went easy on Sasuke, nobody else was actually with Itachi, it was a twisted mind game Tobi (Obito Uchiha [Alias: Madara Uchiha]) told Sasuke so he would seek more revenge. Itachi was then told by Danzo to leave the village and join the Akatsuki as a spy, he was still a spy up to his death, allied with the hidden ANBU organization. He never would of killed anybody in the Uchiha if it weren’t for orders.
