          You may want to check your facts. Naruto is in the same squad as Sakura, Sasuke and Kakashi. The does not mean he is never in a team with other people such as Kiba, Shikamaru etc. Orochimaru, Nawaki and two other genin were in a squad, and Nawaki did die bye running into an explosive tag trap.
