You’re right that I *do* want it to end, while it is still a good series. I don’t want it to get all shitty and drag itself out anyway just to make money (like DragonBallZ). I don’t want Naruto to become the next Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh.
You’re also right that I probably devote too much time and thought to a silly cartoon (of which you are also a fan). So to address that, I will also resort to some silly childishness:
You misspelled “critique”, “just”, “anticipate”, “retarded”, and “douche bag”. The squiggly red line underneath the words you type, are a hint that you should doublecheck the spelling. But that won’t be enough to teach you the difference between “there”, “their” and “they’re”.

It’s still possible that Itachi gave Naruto some crazy power. But it’s also likely (judging by one or two episodes ago) that Itachi just used his Time-Control-Genjutsu to have a really long conversation with Naruto in the course of a few short seconds.
Remember Naruto is reflecting back on it (I forget the exact episode) and Naruto’s answer is “I will just try to defeat him without killing him”. And Itachi basically tells Naruto he is foolish and needs to grow up. “A Shinobi must be prepared to make difficult decisions such as this”.
We have seen that a few times… where Itachi uses Mango Sharingan, and people don’t fully realize all of what really took place, until long after the fact.

Naruto may finally realize that he doesn’t need the Hokage title in order to be a hero. Several times he has been the only ninja capable of saving the day, while the actual Hokage lacked the power to do so.
When he told Kakashi of his dream to be Hokage, the biggest reason was “I want people to recognize me”. After confronting Pain, he already has the respect of 90% of the villagers. The only thing left is the Fire hat and cloak

I have to say that I seriously cried during this chapter. Honestly, there is no way I want Sasuke to die no matter how twisted and evil he’s become. In the original Naruto series (not Shippuden) Naruto promised to bring Sasuke back even if his life depended on it, so that’s pretty much foreshadowing right there. Somehow Naruto is going to bring Sasuke back whether Sasuke dies or Naruto dies or they both die together. I hope neither of them dies, but I just don’t think it will work that way.
I know a lot of you are thinking that Sasuke won’t be brought back, but why would Kishimoto have Naruto make a promise to Sakura (and they always have flash backs for it I might add) if it didn’t mean anything useful in the series. I think that Sasuke will be brought back whether he dies or not.

im just being realistic here, but i think naruto is way stronger than sasuke. i mean ,he can go all sage mode on his butt and use rasen shuriken or go all nine tails. also, just his will never to give up tops sasuke who is just used to winning and not having to fight long drawn out battles… except against itachi… and, he (naruto) is used to fighting for what he believes in no matter what others may think or say. eager to know what you guys think, so please please please reply.
