Pride here i am going to say what i always say i think the person behind the mask is shisui uchiha. For all the people who say it’s just madara behind the mask why would they go through all these just to reveal a face.   I always herd she died from problems at birth and now I find out she had her fox ripped out from her so maybe that didn’t kill her instantly but had a high enough toll to kill her soon. I mean that’s what i’m guessing so far from the manga but she definitely wasn’t assassinated.

  This was a few years after the 4ths squad so obito and the others had been born and obito could be old enough and they don’t say the masked menaces exact age to compare and I also don’t believe it was sasukes mother but maybe she relayed the info of the birth to the mm

    Obito would be the age and size of a genin, hell Kakashi was 10 or 11 when this happened. Look at the mask character again he is the size of an adult. Itachi was 21 when he died so he would have been 5 when this happened and we could speculate that Shishu was just a little older than Itachi and Shishu would have been to young also. So, it leaves Madara as the only person old enough.

@Pride: I would rule him out because Danzo had his right sharingan implaneted and his arm too.

I would rule out the Uchiha two brothers(Madara & Izuna) because Madara would have had the EMS which is supposed to be permanent, correct me if I am wrong.

  still guessing. I re-watched episode 140, I do find it interesting about the contrasting stories of the Konoha Police Force between Tobi’s version and Itachi’s version. If you watch it again, you’ll know what I mean. Tobi has got to be someone higher in the Uchiha ranks but why would any of them have massacred the Uchiha clan?

    When tobi was giving his speech he mentioned that there were many others who refuse to obey the constraints set by the senju clan. So maybe one of them became tobi, and they just call them self madara because that’s who they looked up to. And if tobi is an 80 year old madara then it wouldn’t make sense to kill a clan that decided that you were wright. Itachi on the other hand it made perfect sense why he did it. Just look at his views like pein looked at all humanity. But pein had naruto to change his mind itachi didn’t.

I found a good point when people said it couldn’t be Madara because he never has shown his mangekyo sharingan so that would obviously give people their reason… but I have a theory.

Say Madara and the 1st Hokage did battle and Madara relied on the Izanagi ability to sacrifice one eye to save his life. That would make sense right? Explains why he would wear a mask with only one eye hole because the other one is blind forever.

Now what if that “extra set of eyes” Itachi mentioned when obtaining the Mangekyo Sharingan were used in place of your whole eye going blind. 1st may not have known this and Madara feigned going blind when in truth, he still had a set of eyes to sacrifice. 1st did the final blow to Madara who feigned his death with Izanagi, sealed away one eye, and fled the battle unknowing to the Hokage.

If Madara knew this and the 1st didn’t than that would mean the 1st Hokage assumed Madara died because he sacrificed both eyes out of desperation and was killed by him while helpless. As a result, Madara was assumed dead. That’s my theory as a possible twist.

For those thinking why Madara’s face isn’t revealed is simple, they are conserving this plot point so no one sees his missing, shut, blind, or whatever you want to call it eye. Also he may have done something to his face whether it be a surgery jutsu, tainted it by some dark power, or whatever else Masashi Kishimoto can think up of.

Or B: madara took obito’s right sharingan maybe because after the battle with the 1st he was left completely blind and obito’s sharingan has given him sight in his right eye

ppl read the manga before commenting on just one,narutos mother is dead she and is father just live some there chacra in narutos subconscious so that when the 9tail try to control im they would appear to help im. in this one madara did say the host dye but because of here clan longevity she didt dye right away
2.naruto did get the whiskers because e wad in is mothers woume with the 9tails sealed in her so e get it as a Bert mark and not from becoming the 9taail host.
