My theory is that Madara and Tobi are the same person. When Madara was fighting the first hokage their blood got mixed together. This is possible because both were two of the most powerful shinobi who ever lived and they both must have had a lot of cuts on their body’s while fighting. Senju blood and Uchiha blood mixed together makes the rinnegan. But the person has to be and Uchiha and have a sharingan. So any uchiha who has the EMS and senju blood in them can have the rinnegan. Senju blood and Uchiha blood give you the rinnegan because the sage had two sons and split their power equally.You put those powers together again and you get the rinnegan. My theory why madara and tobi are the same person is because when madra fought the first hokage he didn’t die. He survived and awakened the rinnegan right before he died. He had enough strength to make zetsu with the first hokage’s cells. He then put a part of himself in a zetsu body(TOBI) and gave the rinnegan to nagato. Madara died and tobi watched over nagato from the shadows until he was old enough to harness the rinnegan and it’s power. He then manipulated nagato to form the akatsuki and capture the tailed beasts so they could bring “world peace”. Once all the beasts were captured tobi would convince nagato to revive the real madara to compete the plan of forming “world peace” tobi would then rejoin with the real madara. Earlier Tobi says that he is not ” Complete”. Tobi and Madara rejoin and madara becomes the ten tails . That’s the best theory i can think of. Thats why tobi said the rinnegan was rightfully his thats why madara looked under his shirt to chack if the first hokage’s cells were still there when he died and thats why the real madara knew about the tsukyomi(the whole sharingan on the moon and everyone on earth under an infinite genjutsu plan).
