    tobi is a being created by the sage of the six paths with izanagi. thats why he can solidify and unsolidify himself. hes part real and part illusion, same as izanagi. as konan said, he have to solidify himself at some point. my guess is he will disappear if he doesnt solidify himself for a certain amount of time. he was created by the sage to keep an eye on the future and make sure the sages vision of peace would come true. tobis been watching the sages sons, the senju and the uchiha. hes seen war between the 2 clans and lost hope about the sages dream. thats why he wants the moons eye plan to come true, to make the sages vision himself. tobis been around for 1000s of years, from the sages time. the reason he havent made a move for that long is becouse he lost hope about peace at the same era as madara and hishirama. tobis got both sharingan and zetsu material also known as the first hokages dna. i think thats something he stole to make izanagi, its kind of ironic when hes made of that jutsu. tobi said he was noone and by that i think he means that he was not born but created. i have read that the name tobi is just an ordinary name that doesnt mean anything, thats why i think he choose to call himself tobi. thats just who i think he is, its the only thing that makes sense to me

      It doesn’t make any sense to me. First, how the hell did Tobi manage to live so long ? even the sage himself was not able to do that. Second , if he was creation of izanagi , then what’s the point in wearing a mask ,since he’s already revealed to be imposter?         I know its been said a thousand times, but since kakashi took obitos eye and kakashi has the power to send things through dimensions, and tobi can do pretty much the same thing, wouldnt it be plausable that obito is tobi? I mean so many uchiha have been killed it wouldnt be impossible for him to get another eye. I mean before he gets the rinnegan and what not. What if obito gained the ability to dematerialize as he was crushed.. This stuff boggles my mind.. i wish they would just give us the identity..

      he cant be because he never fould his body. Tobi probably has it or danzo had it. the body doesnt them any good because his eyes where gone before he died so he would have them if brought back from the dead. thats why tobi was mad when danzo smashed the eye and why kabuto was happy to see itachi use it to take control over his body. Its no good now because itachi burned it up with his black flames but Tobi does have the other smashed eye for DNA if kabuto gets it.

        they said the byakugan can see chakara better than the sharringan but thats the only advantage it has over it. I figure they both came from the rennigan and uchiha clan but the byakugan is a branch of the sharringan. kinda like the uzumaki are a branch out of the senju and are desendents of the senju. I wonder if the byakugan can awaken another stage? I’m sure they cant but it would be cool but hinnata would have awakened it when she almost died to protect naruto but she didnt so I dont see it happening. next thing you know they will have some dude with a byakugan eye and a sharringan eye. they got everything else.

       I have asked this same question. Sharingan was derived from byakugan. which means that it was created from the byakugan or is the off spring of the byakugan.  So if the sharingan came from the byakugan i doubt that we have seen all of what the byakugan can do. The first uchiha might have had the byakugan. Or the hyuga and the uchiha might have been one clan at one point.

        Man plz dont say he created the juubi SOP sealed the juubi inside of him then later use a jutsu to split up the chraka into 9 beast then seal the juubi body in the moon n i dont think sage of the six path have the rinnegan to begin with i think he got it after sealin the juubi inside of him. The juubi eyes look like the rinnegan with 9 tomoe. Plus when we saw the sage back he have the juubi eye and 9 tomoe seperated so it must mean. The 9 tomoe stand for the beast & the circle stand for the rinnegan i think later in the story eell find out more about the sage coat symbol

       Madara said it himself…. Harshirama (first hokage, dont care about spelling his name) was the only one with enough power to rival him. and to be honest……… Tobi isnt all that badass. We haven’t even see him fight yet, because i dont call disappearing and rematerializing fighting

    Its weard how everyone is getting the sharringan and senju cells from the 1st hokage. Orochimaru put the 1st hokages dna in 40 kids and yamato was the only one to live out of all of them but yet madara and tobi both have it and danzo too. plus they r giveing alot of people the sharringan and rennigan too. the sharringan is bad ass to me and it was cool that kakashi was the only uchiha with it but I wish they would tell how Nagato got it. and how itachi killed shisui and awaken his MS. Madara has the real deal and can use wood style but Tobi is more like zetsu and less like yamato or 1st hokage. They show Tobi standing in front of a zetsu plant when he replaces his arm that just got blow off so he can use the senju plant under ground to replace limbs so he is the same as zetsu too. I wonder why he can’t use wood style like Madara or a face on him like danzo, madara, and even the plant underground he grew? I still think he is a clone of madara with a soul of his own brought back by madara useing his rennigan rebirth. Maybe it izune but I couldnt think of anyone he would trust more than his own brother. It cant be a senju or uzumaki because madara hates them too much and wouldnt trust them or even be around one without killing them plus it wouldnt be another uchiha because they betrayed him and he hates them too so that doesnt leave very many people to choose from. wouldnt you agree?

    Tobi says he is the 2nd of the six paths  and he calls nagato the 3rd of the six paths. Tobi probably meant he was the 2nd person to awaken the rennigan like the sage did and nagato was the 3rd to awaken or use the rennigan. when nagato was a kid and jariya was teaching them he told nagato that the sage was a monk that went around teaching ninshu later known as ninjutsu and he thought nagato was the rebirth of that monk (the sage of six paths) maybe Tobi was the 2nd person or he just means that Nagatos eyes are the 3rd part of him being the next sage. 1st part is the senju clan (DNA), 2nd part is uchiha clan (DNA), and 3rd part is nagatos eyes ( rennigan) but he already has rennigan if he is a uchiha. all he needs is to awaken it right so what does it mean? I think he uses all of the extra sharringans as izangi. I’ll bet he already used a few like when the 4th hokage blew his arm off. He used izangi and just replaced the eye. Maybe thats why he only had one eye hole because thats the only original eye he has and the other is just for back up for izangi or he isnt uchiha and covers it to keep from useing to much chakara like kakashi has too. as for him being obito because his technique looks like kakashis, thats not hard to say because all the uchiha have alot of the same techniques but some are stronger than others. plus tobi does have a sasnoo because he doesnt have 2 eyes or even MS at all.  Orochimaru may have been already known about everything that tobi is does since he already had the senju dna and wanted itachi or sasukes eyes to finish but I’ll bet he was thinking of putting senju dna in his own body or putting hisself into madaras body he had. Tobi could have been made from the 1st hokages body since he has a dark tan skin like he did but I cant see it happening but it could?

    in episode 385 or somewhere when sasuke fights itachi, itachi says sasuke is his spare eyes and he is sasukes spare eyes. So that means they could swap eyes and both have EMS then right? So Tobi really could be izune with madaras eye where as madara had izunes when he died. Maybe or maybe not but its a good thought. But why didnt he use sasnoo when he fought the 4th hokage unless he just cant. At that point nagato must have already had the rennigan madara awakened so tobi didnt have them. but madara was controling the mizukage at that time with his EMS in the hidden rain village where nagatos family also lived so Tobi only had normal sharringan and not EMS or even MS or he would have used it against the 4th hokage when they fought so if he was izune he only has plain sharringan. maybe Kabuto will get sasukes old eyes. I wonder if they do like itachis genjutsu showes and really have all 4 eyes somehow because they show both eye patterns over top of one another together. does anyone know if they use both eys or just swap eyes. Madaras sasnoo has a front and back like 2 sets of eyes and 2 different sasnoos back to back.

    Tobi says the rinnegan eyes r his and nagatos revival technique was for him and when madara was brought back.by kabuto madara thought it was nagato. So the only.conclusion i can draw help me out guys, is tobi is half shodai and half madara. Probably more madara so not.half.and half but u get the point

What the hell he still called the Genin with that intelligence and jutsu have exceeded Kages. very funny when someone of the most powerful of them called the inferior ninja (Genin). it’s not fair for Naruto when all other friends who have been given the title Jounin & Chunin.

        Well the proof I have that Tobi is not Obito is that Obito was a kid when he died. Even if he managed to survive (which I am sure he didn’t) he couldn’t be Tobi for two reasons, 1.) Obito was introduced in a filler episode. 2.) The battle between Madara and the 1st was before Obito was born. Now Izune couldn’t be Tobi either because his eyes were taken out by Madara. Plus having him be Tobi would be like me saying ,”If you have two apples and I gave you one how many do you have.” and I would say later that, “Oh one ‘apple’ as actually a cookie, so you’re wrong.” Finally, Tobi has both Senjuu and Uchiha DNA. One of Zetusu’s powers is that he can completely duplicate a person’s DNA. Plus, later Madara comes back via Edo Tensei, meaning Madara is ACTUALLY DEAD. Therefore, the only possible LOGICAL answer is ZETSU

          tobi is not zetsu becuz sasuke , if u read the manga , killed the original white zetsu to test his m.sharingan. Also izuna could hav taken another uchihas sharingan to survive, after all he is able to use kamui(space time jutsu: dimension jutsu) which requires an m.sharingan seeming he had his own before madara took his . this is proof that tobi is izuna . if tobi was zetsu , whos dna did he copy ?

          Unless the Zetsu he killed was a clone of the original . . . TOBI. The DNA Tobi copied was Madara’s and the 1st Hokage’s. Zetsu’s power is that he can clone anyone’s chakra, so how else could someone have both Senjuu and Uchiha DNA? Zetsu is the only one with means to do so.
