      actually it was stage 2 because he had 2 tomoe in each eye.. i don’t think it’s possible to awaken your sharingan, have it at stage 2, and be able to use that ability all in one day. Tobi’s eye was in stage 3 with 3 tomoe. just my opinion.

If Tobi is Obito but did not want to be known, all he has to do is a simple transformation jutsu. Tsunade was shown to be able to maintain a transformation jutsu that makes her look younger, even whilst taking hits in combat.

      I don’t pay attention to stuff like that because timeline is kind of messed up. Believe it or not , Madara was also alive at that time, he even saw Nagato with his own eyes, that’s why Madara refered to Nagato as “brat” when he was revived. Maybe Tobi never transplanted Rinnegan into Nagato and it was Madara who did that. But I still believe that Tobi can either travel through time or at least somehow manipulate it.
