Well seems like obito got kamui to work afterall. I guess it was somewhat incomplete due the scars in his face. But still

this is so redicules! So he managed to control Kamui 5minutes after he first got sharingan? Oh well there are so many plotholes. I hope Kishi read some of the most popular ones, so we can have indepth explanation on how it turned out to be him afterall. If it’s not somesort of crazy ass lame ninjustu as orichimaru have, ill be very dissapointed.

  stuff does change over time. For example, the first real fight is kakashi vs zabuza. During that fight it takes at least 20 hand signs to perform a simple water dragon and both fighters were already elite jonin. Now the series has evolved to the point that people rarely even use hand signs or will perform 2 or 3 for even the strongest of jutsu. remember kekki genkai and elemental natures? It was supposed to be a big deal that the mizukage had 3 elemental natures, yet it’s no big deal that kakashi can cast jutsu of every element? Things are added, removed, and changed over time. Kishi probably didn’t have over 600 chapters written at the start and even he is capable of simple continuity errors

Obito was a hero. He was a like Naruto in many ways. He changed people. He cared for his comrades. He tried his best. He also liked a girl who liked another.

I just watched the Kakashi Gaiden 1 & 2 again and there is absolutely no trace of evil in him.
I sincerely hope that Kishimoto has a serious explanation to this.
This is utterly stupid. There is no reason for Obito to change into evil, turn against the entire village and the rest of the world. The very only reason he had to go against anyone would be Kakashi for ‘taking’ Rin. Kakashi and Obito even got together before his fake death.

I have no clue on how it could turn out this bad. I have always said that it couldn’t be Obito because NOTHING spoke for and a lot spoke against that it was him. So for all those who started bragging about they where right from the beginning, stop it. It was sheer luck and nothing else.

And darn you for making us wait a week more and making us research a lot, Kishi.

Even someone as crybaby as Nagato managed to become the leader of Akatsuki , fake one though , but the point is that people change conceptions, beliefs, attitudes and even themselves after going through ordeals.     But every single person has had a reason to change, at least a bad experience that made their lives considered.
    For an example Nagato. He saw his parents die right in front of him, he saw all of his comrades die in front of him, therefor he got a wrong vision of the world.

      I always said that it was ridiculous because we do not have any clues yet and I also said that we will get the real story in a week.
      But if you know Naruto well, you would know that if try hard enough to figure out the next move you will always get it right, at least in some how.
      Knowing nothing but bullshit makes it different and frustrating for the readers, at least those who really cares.
      We have always been able to read his next move, which always made it exciting, more interesting and made us use more time on it.
      He left us nothing for us to think about this time.
      This entire “post a reply” system has always been used for discussing the future chapters.
      
      This next chapter discussing could only be guesses without any clues to support your theory.
      
      This is why I think it’s ridiculous, because I am a true fan and have always been trying to figure out the next move.
      
      Hopefully he will come up with a real good explanation and not in ten chapters.

      There has always been a reason for everything in Naruto. Kishimoto has created one of the best story lines of all time, in my opinion. You can connect almost every piece in Naruto, except for this last chapter. Ruins the whole idea of Naruto in my opinion. To me Naruto is not about the cool fights but the amazing stories behind the fights.
      
      I am a disappointed reader, thats all I have to say.

What I hated about the chapter was the name . It really ruined all the experience, because you could easily guess who Tobi was without reading the chapter.As for flashbacks, it would have been much better if Kishi showed Obito’s face first. Actually, I knew that Tobi was Obito. I have said several times that this was a fact to me. I was 100 % sure about it.However, if I were a normal fan , who doesn’t care about theories and reads manga just for enjoyment, I would have been totally disappointed with this manga chapter. Let’s all agree that Kishi could have revealed Tobi’s identity in much more epic way than this.

  i was saying the same thing when i occasionally watched episodes here. Then once the obito started fighting naruto i became hooked. I can safely say once i know how obito became tobi ill go back to my life.

It sucks, more boring than a 1000 fillers about sakura’s feelings for sauske. it’s sad for me, and whoever agrees, that stories of others lives make me feel more alive than my own. But reality doesn’t have professional writers or animators so that’s to be expected.

    tobi told sauske that itachi was old enough to witness the war, yet was too young to fight, which is why he hated violence and conflict. if itachi graduated the academy about 8 he was probably younger than that whereas obito had been on plenty of missions with rin and kakashi so he was probably 12-15 at the time. going on that I assumed that itachi was about 5-10 years younger and either did not know him or probably didn’t have any real opinion of him.

      Yeah he had to be like 10to years younger, probably 4his when he died, but hes like a cousin, I still would remember, especially cousins that are in my age group, or older ones I would look up to.

      true, I was just thinking that opinions we form as children are often dismissed once we are older. That being said we hold onto things that are important our whole lives. It’s always possible that while shisui taught him about self sacrafice as a shinobi he also remembered obito and his sacrafice and that too played a part his choices, even if it was subconscience.

      you read my mind. I see other anime that are all the same, there is a main character the is 100% good and a villian that is 100% evil. that is not how the world works, there are shades of grey. what initally hooked me was the fight with zabuza and haku. it was the first time I watched an anime where peolpe are portrayed as real people, good characters admitting they have a dark side and learning how to cope while the villians actions are justified through past experience. Orochimaru could have just been portrayed as an over the top madman hellbent on destruction for no good reason, but he wasn’t, he was just a lonely kid who wanted to protect the few bonds he had left and that obsession eventually led him to act as he did. in that context, even if you don’t agree with him you can still understand him.

  same here, though I suspect he didn’t. I think itachi was more focused on how to stop him and didn’t really care who this “madara” was. Itachi was intelligent and a master of perception and illusion, even “Madara” probably couldn’t decieve him. Also itachi was practical, he knew “madara” was dangerous regardless of his true identity. just my opinion.

In my opinion the 3 option who is tobi. 1.Madara, although confused me, because Karuma freaked out when he saw edo madara and tobi how much time was near. 2.Rin, perfectly fits the profile of tobi, but there is not enough data, 3.izuna, when he said that the rinnegan was always his, (because he gave his eyes to his brother), and Nagato should revive him, he was referring to his brother . I think the fact that Obito’s motive is unknown is one of the reasons why mystery has existed so far. I remember lot’s of people who denied this theory just because there was no reason for Obito to become evil . I think Kishi is going to put some info ,but to an extent, in each chapter so that we can enjoy the mystery as long as possible. I know you all want answers right away , but it will be much better if Kishi introduces Obito’s story step by step.
