  I don’t think this is the case. Kishimoto wants to give some depth at people’s sacrifices in the war. It would be lame if there were no casualties in a whole war.

      This simply is Naruto…they are making it like a drama…painful for our hearts, making us to addict to someone and then loosing him/them just because Kishi wanted so he better repay it by making new sequels of Naruto, next shonen jump or what was it called when making year jumps (like from Naruto to Shipuuden).

I’m upset! This was very sad for both Ino and Shikamaru and especially for the war. Now how are they gonna communicate! Shikaku was one of my favorite characters from the older generation and I hate to think that he is no longer. I hope that they got out and that we will we suprised with them being alive at the end of the war.
