Look, if you been in fights, have you seen, or notice a great fighter at the end of their career, not ever as close as to know they once were, and thats usually when they pass the age of 35. When you see old fighters, they fight like they are sparring, basic, not able to fight the style they are used too. He fought against two hokage, and Orochumaru for a long time. So that is something, I haven’t seen with another character, so yeah, I got real reasons.

Hell,I could be wrong, and you too,just depends on how Kishi ranks someone. When the Riakage was first shown, he looked amazing, but he has gone down so much now, for one, to make tsuande look stronger, they made her stronger than him.

It depends, Iike also when you see a great fighters just out class and demolish good ones. But, when you put them against another equally great fighter, you’ll see not much happen. Its cause they know they can’t fight to crazy, like fast multiple punches will leave their face exposed. Time is taken to feel each other out. Or if they rush and through power, the other will dodge it, and then attack when the fighter tires out. The fight may look boring, but it looks like amateurs are fighting. Now it’s just if kishi applies this in the fighting, or Kishi just wasn’t that ready at the time to show the first three kage with more or better jutsu. Or didn’t know how to show more intense fighting.
