Anyone else notice how in this episode how itachi is at about half his full power because of his illness and yet he’s able to produce a fully developed and armored susano’o with a shield and sword. And then later on in the series when sasuke at full health and power is only able to do the skeleton of susano’o. Just goes to show you how unbelievably powerful itachi truly is.

  actually Sasuke chose to do part of susano’o. Look at the episode where Sasuke fights Danzo and you’ll see how powerful he is

    Susano’o develops in combat , it goes from a few bones to what Itachi used . Itachi didn’t go full on because he didn’t want to kill Sasuke and partly because he was ill .

  You are aware that Itachi was purposely holding back? He never intended to kill Sasuke – for what he did, it was his intention that Sasuke grow up and become strong, and kill him, because he felt that an Uchiha should be the one to make him pay for what he did (which he only did in the first place to prevent civil war). Read the manga…you’ll realize how easily Itachi could have killed sasuke if he had wanted to – he had a major trump card that he didn’t even use.

  the illness is that everytime he use the mangekyo he lose more and more of his sight thus the reason he needs sasukes eyes to permanently open it

  Well…something tells me this isn’t the last we’ll see of Orochimaru (and I do read the manga, so I am aware of how things currently stand) – but anyway…that white snake at the end…am I the only one who thought it was strange that there was only a wet mark on the ground where the snake used to be, rather than ash? Amateresu was still burning away at basically nothing…I wonder if it might be possible that Orochimaru’s snake shed again and escaped that way after the camera left it. It wouldn’t surprise me. Orochimaru is a damned sneaky bastard.
