    danzo took the eye of a falling uchiha and it had a very spesiol power (the eye of the 1 that was thrown by danzo of the waterfall, he maid it appear as suicide and itachi was blamed for it thou no 1 knew the truth) any ways he controlled itachi with that eye and after the mass slaughter itachi (when itachi killed the utchihas) he broke free of danzo’s controll cz he couldnt kill his litle bro then he came up with his plan to make his litle bro appear as a hero of the hidden leaf (by killing itachi sasuke will appear as the hidden leaf hero) and he went back to punish danzo by vaporising his right arm and leg then he went to the 3d hokage for his help and the 3d promissed to keep sasuke safe then after the 3d death itachi appeared in the village (when he faught with kakashi hatake + might guy + kurenai)

      no the only itachi was in complete control of himself the murder of the uchiha was a plot organized by itachi madara and danzo. madara got revenge on the clan that betrayed him, itachi got the mangeku sharingan for killing his best friend suishi and danzo got a bunch of sharingans. hes not telling sasuke about his involvement in that and the attack on konoha that was a plot so donzo would have a reason to give itachi the mission cuz madara knew they would blame a uchiha for the attack by kyuubi

  the eye that danzo had was shisu’s eye, and that is how itachi awakened his mangekyo sharigan by killing his closest friend shishu, shishu had very good genjutsu, but we still do not know how shishu died, whether he died willing or itachi fought him and killed him. So i believe you are wrong danzo did not control itachi. Itachi had the mangekyo sharigan before the annihilation of the uchiha clan. The only thing madara didn’t speak the truth of was the nine tails incident 16 years ago, confirmed by the flash back when minato fights madara and kyyubi

If what Madara says is true, then (from our perspective) he was someone like Naruto, all alone. Also similar to Itachi, since he had been betrayed by everyone. And almost exactly like Sasuke, driven by hatred.

Madara must have been tortured by his brother’s &friend’s death, angered by the Senju’s unexpected truce, and completely misunderstood the need for the “Will of Fire” in forming a village & a unified country. The last part is my guess as to why the feudal lord denied Madara the position of Hokage. Madara was just a victim of unfortunate circumstances & everyone at the time could see that.
