  Nope, they’ve gone through the first 2 rounds of the chunin exam. Namely the crazy hard test and the forest where Orochimaru cursed Sasuke. This is the day before the final round where Sasuke is supposed to fight Gaara. Sakura cuts her hair in the forest during the sound ninja attack.

sasuke is a douche dude. just look at the story front to back. ….sasuke never had feelings for friends all he wants is power. he doesnt care for anyone but him self. he isnt confused. its what he wanted…. sasuke is a drama queen everyone tries to save him from something he always was. hes that stupid and hungry for power he went to lord orochimaru. out of his own free will. he isnt confused at all dude. hes just a straight up idiot

  I agree with u 50% yeah he is a douche but he did, and still does have feelings for people ( like itachi, u saw sasuke crying. Also i dont think he knows how to shows his feelings in the “right” way ). I think he is confused because hes been tricked all his life and with people nudging him at his volnerable time. ( like after itachi’s dealth.) It kinda hard to explain but im sure some not all will understand…… And sorry for the pointless comment.

  I cant agree with you there, yes, all that Sasuke cares about know is only revenge and power, but if you werent paying attention to what Sasuke said to Naruto back at final valley. He said that he and Naruto became best friends and for a moment he thought he could forget about revenge and move on, but because of orochimaru he couldnt. And he clearly missed them when he fought with killer bee. Plus i think he doesnt even admit it to him self that he couldnt kill Naruto because he didnt want to kill hes best friend…

  Sasuke is not a douche, he watched his parents die, his whole clan slaughtered by the one person he held so close and loved more than this world. So of course he wants revenge! Who wouldn’t? And knowing the strength of his older brother, he would NEED to be hungry for power or he would just die! Then to be told by another member of his clan that his very own village ordered the one person he loved to kill everyone he knew and destroy his way of life.. I’m sure any character in this would have reacted and done the exact same thing!
  I do agree with the fact he isn’t confused, but he isn’t a douche, he’s everything Pain has described and is acting on his feelings to redeem the loss of everything he ever knew.
  Besides, it’s an anime, watch it for the story, not the character preference if you don’t like the characters they have written in
