    The author blundered. He should’ve had the villages fight each other and suffer heavy casualties. Now that would’ve been great drama. This alliance is lame garbage.

       Dude, then what would happen when the akutsuki attacked? (sorry haven’t watched in a while so i don’t remember how it’s spelled).  And don’t say “He could’ve just made it to where they didn’t.” Because, the whole shippuden anime has been leading up to this. Besides, Naruto and Bee would destroy the other villagers. And possible, naruto wouldn’t cause he is all for peace in villages. Think about it.

        A couple of villages should’ve sided WITH the Akatsuki, then it would’ve been these fighting against the other villages. This is what I’d expected. I’m very disappointed at this alliance. What a wimpy plot maneuver.

          In my opinion, (no offense) i think that’s a wimpy plot. The whole anime has made it to where the villagers hated the akutsuki. And funny enough, all akutsuki are ex-villagers. So tbh, you already got your wish. If villagers sided with akatsuki they wouldn’t be villagers anymore. I think this is a great plot. It really delves into the beginning of ninja. Which I quite like. I guess you just can’t see how full and rich this plot is. (Yes, i was thinking of chocolate when i made this comment)

          If you like it, fine; but nothing you say will make me like it. “My” plot would not be wimpy, but gritty. Real war doesn’t have good and bad guys, it has opposing viewpoints. The allies from different villages too easily dropped their animosity for each other. An altogether childish depiction.

    The best parts of this episode were flashbacks with cute Deidara and Tendo Pein ! The zombies were good too.

        Who doesn’t use chakra to boost their attacks in this universe? Even the Akimichi clan transform calories into chakra to lend them strength, literally meaning the fatter they are, the stronger they are. Does that mean Choza isn’t a warrior? I get the Sakura hatred, but I find it pretty sad how suddenly her fighting style is lame simply because she uses it. There weren’t any complaints about chakra boost when Tsunade beat Orochimaru like a puppet.
