I am pretty sure tobi is shisui uciha because , while fighting konan , tobi had to remove his mask to use izanagi , he dint want to loose his other eye because it had the abilities to manupilate other people Also, Shisui had the ability to transport just like Tobi. Plus, Kabuto could not find Shisui’s body. And also, Tobi wanted Shisui’s eye, which Danzo had. It’s his missing eye. Also, look at how Tobi’s sleeve’s flap. You don’t see two arms. You can’t tell if he even has two arms. That is deliberate. Because if his sleeves were short enough to see his arms, it might give away the fact that he’s missing an arm. Also, I think Itachi helped him fake his death. I think that’s why Itachi joined Akatsuki because it was headed by his best friend. I think he had misgivings in the end about Shisui’s plan which is why he snuck away to see Naruto and gave him some of his power. Only thing that makes sense. I’d like to hear some of your thoughts.

even i wondered why he had to wear a mask if he is in fact madara. but its most likely that madara is residing in shisui’s body.
it could be said that shisui is not tobi… coz, we saw the flash back where kushina tells how the nine tailed fox is sealed inside naruto, we get to see ‘tobi’ fighting minato. come to think of it… itachi is some 4-5 yrs old at that time… how could shisui be so big? by this, i was convinced that tobi is definitely not shisui.

but i was convinced that tobi is in shisui’s body coz
- he used shisui’s genjutsu on 4th mizukage
- he was so interested to get shisui’s eye from danzo.
- kabuto said that he could not find shisui’s corpse.
- the hairstyles of tobi and shisui look alike.

as for the coffin, i could not even make a guess. kabuto said he did not tell tobi’s secret to a single soul. if its izuna or sage of six paths as many people say, whats secret in der? every one knows izuna or the sage of six paths are already dead.

but yeah… at times, even i wonder if tobi is infact madara… coz there is no proof that he is madara. he just claims he is.. zetsu addresses him ‘tobi’ and not madara. kabuto also calls him ‘tobi’ at times.

  Well…he’s not Madara that’s for sure, which leaves us with a few other possibilities. So, Tobi has to be an Uchiha (derp!) which leaves us with the possibilities of:
  
  Izuna Uchiha: It’s a possibility since he was as strong as Madara, so it could explain Tobi’s insane skills.
  
  Kagami Uchiha: Often when it comes to plot twists, writers would make it as unexpected as possible, and this is why some people say Kagami could be it cause this guy was only mentioned once in the anime.
  
  Obito: I sincerely doubt it, but because it just so happens that Obito upon death gave his left sharingan to Kakashi, and the fact that Tobi has a a rinnengan in his left eye that he had to replace, could be a link, but in reality Tobi actually had both his eyes during the anime, so that makes the theory unlikely.
  
  Or just some random generic Uchiha member: Yeah, I’m going to have to go with this one. Tobi is probably going to turn out to be just some personage of hatred, war, human nature, or something like that and not some really well known shinobi.

Tobi is Fugaku Uchiha… He had the same eyes as Itachi when he took his mask halfway off for Sasuke, he waited for Itachi to die to reveal his true self, plus Naruto and Sasuke both have interesting bloodlines. If the first Hokage fought Madara, and Naruto is destined to fight Sasuke, then wouldn’t it make sense that Fugaku (Tobi) fought Minato during the Nine-Tails attack? Even Itachi himself said that his dad was missing while he took care of baby Sasuke during the attack.

It’s definitely an interesting twist. Knowing that both of the main characters fathers were two of the most powerful ninjas in the country…
