Curious, when did Kinkaku and Ginkaku has this encounter with the Kyuubi? Because the Kyuubi was supposed be sealed in Mito Uzumaki since the reign of the first Hokage, right?

    Kink And Gink couldn’t have done it before the Kyuubi was sealed because Madara had it back then. Then Mito died and it was instantly passed on to Kushina when she was young. And by then it would be a little late because they were around the 2nd Hokages time.

  Not to belittle your comment or anything but you do realize that the Nine Tail’s power is still stronger than most tailed beasts even if it was cut in half by the 4th Hokage’s Reaper Death Seal and shared by various individuals. Not to say a spoiler, but you’ll see what I mean later on in the episodes when Naruto comes back. The Nine Tails chakra is still so powerful its almost like he didn’t lose any portion of his chakra at all. The fourth Hokage was considered the most heroic Kage because he took on the 9 tails with its full chakra and the First Hokage’s wood style can actually immobilize and sustain the 9 tail’s power which is one of the many reasons why the First is so legendary as well. So please before making assumptions, try to watch the anime all the way through as the story writers have done an amazing job with this whole series in general.

  If you listen carefully, the sentence he said about being the Raikage’s right hand man sounds a lot like the word “drab.” He even repeated it a couple times and it became clear. Then he started apologizing to everyone and that became his most used word. Therefore, reversing the effect.

  Calm down please. I know Sasuke and Naruto are the two main characters of the story, but these side characters contribute greatly to the story plot as well. If you focus on them these coming episodes, it’ll help you better understand what happened in the Ninja World in the pass and just how many legendary shinobi there were. These Kinkaku brothers are just the beginning. You have no idea what kind of ninja like the First Hokage, the Second Hokage, or even the Sannin faced in the past. By exploiting these past enemies, it gives the audience some range of just how strong the Kages and other legendary shinobi were and why they were revered during the past great Ninja wars.

    It also gives you an idea of how skilled the present shinobi are. AFter all Omoi is facing the two brothers who even fought the Nine TAils. And his analytical skills are impressive as well showing you why Raikage chose him to be his right hand man.

    Are you frickin serious? I can’t believe you like them bringing in all these legendary shinobi we’ve heard nothing about. I’m so sick of them bringing up unknown/overpowered bad guys out of nowhere! These Kinkaku bros were never mentioned until now in the series! They just happen to be famous and awesomely powerful too, imagine that! It’s very poor writing indeed.
    If they wanted us to give a crap about these Kinkaku bros or be scared of them, they should have been in the damn story a little but!!!!!!! Is that too much to ask? At least there was a vague reference to the 7 legendary swordsman a couple times, but again we never saw any of them and we knew nothing about them (except for Zabuza) until they got reanimated and POOF!! MORE OVERPOWERED/UNKNOWN BAD GUYS!!!!! Someone put me out of my misery, please. I can’t take anymore piss poor writing.

      it isnt bad writing just because they didnt give you a heads up that there were other powerful shinobi in the world before today (shocker). there were plenty of incredibly powerful shinobi during each generation. are you saying that you never thought that could be possible just because kishi didnt spoon feed it to you? its just common sense. all of these guys were never mentioned because they were dead.. not to mention it had nothing to do with the story line. we only know so much about madara and hashirama because they were from the hidden leaf where naruto is from and they are relevant to the story.

      They talk about dead shinobi all the time. Just not the ones that are overpowered and that the good guys will have to fight. They throw in things that have nothing to do with the storyline all the time as well, like the filler episodes.
      
      I’m not saying they need to devote a lot of time to every bad guy that they write into an episode. But we should know SOMETHING about them before they are thrown in front of us and killing other ninjas. Subtle references to them and their abilities in episodes leading up to their appearance, perhaps paintings/statues of some of them here and there, any type of foreshadowing that could get the audience to care about the fights they are in would be good. An excellent example of this piss poor writing is these Kakaku bros. They have 9 tails charka, and they fought the 9 tails. The 9 tails is an integral part of this anime since he is sealed inside the main character. Isn’t in reasonable to think that we should have known something about these guys before now since they are so powerful, and they fought the 9 tails, and they have 9 tails chakra? We didn’t know about them because they didn’t exist until recently. They just made them up out of nowhere. *sigh*

The idea of taboo words came with the series Yu Yu Hakusho. The specific episode is one where Hiei, Kuwabara, Boton and Kurama were trapped in a large room with a supernatural person. The room had a specific rule which was to never speak the taboo word “hot”. If this was done, the speaker’s soul will be taken, but that was unknown to the group until it happened to Hiei. Another fun fact: The idea of using a person’s shadow to paralyze him/her came from the same arc as the previous show I’ve mentioned.

    actualy being a history major i can tell you that it come from japenese folklore (or History depending on your disposition, though if u believe that ninjas really did use nindo magic like abilities well id say your pretty gullable) and saying that naruto has copied another series is like saying harry potter magics used through out the stories are stolen from any previously written books that have used magic in the wrighting.
