OK. Heres what I don’t get. Why didn’t they release these 5 episodes, “Power”, as a movie, and heav the fillers be war battles between those on the battlefield? The main storey so far has Naruto and Bee racing to join the battle. However, these fillers showed Naruto fighting alongside those on the battlefield, against Kabuto ( who is also using his reanimation justsu on the battlfield as the enemy). It makes no sense, he is now fighting alongside the people he is racing to join up with in the next episode. I see no logical explanation…

  It’s a filler, meaning uncanon, meaning it’s not too far fetched to think of it as on a different timeline, like if you’d've ever watched Bleach and how they kept interrupting the Arrancar Arc, yeah. Fillers are just mainly for the manga to keep significantly ahead of the anime, wouldn’t want to run out of material and have some sort of shaky one canon episode, three random episode, one canon, five random. It just makes sure there is sort of continuous plot. As for the movie thing, I wouldn’t know exactly, but personally I just feel it wouldn’t be right to release it as a movie at this point in time, just financial and ethical (if that’s the word for it doesn’t feel right) issues.

    I feel you. I just wish they would keep the filler to a point where it makes sense to the main story. Here I am watching Naruto rushing to join everyone, then suddenly hes with them fighting something else, and then he joins with them to fight the original enemy. It doesnt make sense.I would think they would make the fillers as battles between the reanimated, and those who are already on the battlefield. Like the last one before the Power series. There are so many characters who could be battling, but they make up a whole new story for 5 episodes. I know people want to see Naruto fight, but come on. Just to show Naruto in action, things have to stop making sense? The show is awesome, but the fillers are on crack…

    It’s mentioned in these episodes that Naruto already defeated Pain, which places it after that. We also know that Tsunade was in a coma after the Pain incident. The war was already declared whilst Tsunade was still in a coma. Seeing as Tsunade is now awake, it actually places it after the war was declared/begun. Which means it happened somewhere between Tsunade waking up, and Naruto going off on his training.
