The guy in the purple cap who bumped in2 Suigetsu twice was the same character from original Naruto show, back in the Zabuza-Haku arc (ep 13). Makes sense to see him in the land of waves. He was one of the personal henchmen of Gatoh, the corrupt billionaire who plundered the wavelands. Naruto wooped his ass too!
