      Maybe they represent Sasuke’s companions, as in a previous episode Sasuke was represented as an eagle, then when walking with Suigetsu a smaller bird flew past, then a second when he had Karin on his team

          Also, the blade appears to be shorter because it has been drawn wider than usual. It’s an optical illusion, wider objects seem shorter than objects with the same length but narrower. Taking Suigetsu’s height compared to Zabuza’s height and the length of the sword compared to Zabuza’s height, you can see that the sword’s length remains the same.

      not exactly, yes he still is kind of alive in Sasuke but he might as well be dead i mean whats  the difference he has no effect on the world anymore so yes put simply he’s pretty much dead, and SPOILER: i think later on at least in the manga itachi gets rid of orochimaru’s ‘soul’ for good.
