Naruto is pretty weak at this point but soon he masters rasen shuriken, Masters sage mode and defeats the leader of the Akatsuki, Learns to control the 9-tails Chakra, and is currently learning how to transform into the 9-tails itself….Also if a tailed beast is controlled by the jinchuriki it can’t be supressed…And genjutsu does not work on a jinchuriki who has control of their tailed beast.
