      ya but apparently that movie that came out took a really long time to make and the dub team was also on break so thats why we hardly got any episodes i just wish they would bring back weekly episodes the huge break in between episodes is really making it a huge pain to follow and enjoy this series and i am having a hard time standing it

        Just watch the subbed episodes its pretty much the same thing and reading subs, you get used to it after a while. Also when you watch the 150+ subs that are ahead of the dubbed anime you can then go on to read the manga where they are currently fighting for the survival of the shinobi world.

          Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, but it’s incredibly pointless to compare two completely different anime based entirely over power. I’ve watched DB, DBZ, DBGT, every Dragonball/DBZ Movie, all of Naruto, Shippuden(Currently at SUB 300 at posting), Naruto Manga(620), Naruto Movies, hell i’ve even watched Rock Lee and his Ninja Pals. Again, going along with individual preference, the way an individual will judge the likeability of a show compared to another is Severity of Action, Plot, and Relatability, and will form their bias based on their preference of the three. It is no “fact” that one anime is better than another, even if you think an anime(or any show for that matter) is totally garbage (not referring to either of these anime), it is entirely opinionated because someone else will prefer it to your preference. Yes, anyone who’s watched Dragonball knows, yes, big explosions, yes, alot of action, but that’s not everybody’s preference. I personally prefer Naruto based on the grounds that “IN MY OPINION” the plot is better, contains alot more twists, and also that one(or more) character(s) is highly relatable to me. Doesn’t mean i’m going to bash DBZ, that isn’t what im wasting 5-10 minutes of my time for, nor trying to say that Naruto is better. The point of this is to explain that all of this is opinionated and you’re bickering like idiots over something trivial, better yet, with a random person of the vast internet that if you ignored this page, would likely NEVER see again in your entire life.           It’s not horrible voice acting. You are simply not accustomed to them. I started watching Naruto in dub all the way until episode 43 of shippuden, then I didn’t want to wait so long so i continued with sub. It sounded weird at first but got used to it. After 100 episodes or i watched a dub episode and the voices sounded weird to me. It’s just a matter of what you’re used to hearing. Both Japanese and English have good voice acting.

          I watched dub till about 126, I know the voices well, and i’m not saying Naruto’s voice acting is bad, but Sasuke’s, Bee’s, tsunade’s and a lot of others aside from Kakashi, Jiraiya, and Sakura aren’t done very well.

          ^ I’m the opposite actually. I like both dub and sub, and to be perfectly honest, I actually like Nagato/Pains voice acting in English dub. I think Pain’s voicing is among the best, as you can really hear the pain which is personified as he speaks. In saying this though, everyone has their own opinions, and its all a matter of what each of us prefers.

      dub gets 1 per week just like sub. always have. while streaming and broadcast releases have been all over the place, dvd releases have remained consistent. we just get them in bursts. we can watch 1 a week just like you or plow through a set all at once. it’s all in how you look at it.

        Netflix takes a minimum of 2 years to get a full season of a TV show. By the end of a 2 year period 2 season sometimes 3 have come out for the show in question, so your Netflix vs cable logic is completely invalid and ignorant.           you’re right, i did only minor in math in college, so my calculations might be off, but i think 166 episodes in 169 weeks is pretty close to 1 a week. it’s exactly the same number as the number of subbed episodes that were released in that time frame. again, you lack perspective. and apparently the basic ability to count 13 episodes, but i’ll let that slide. this idea of [13] episodes taking 6 months is a misnomer. itunes released the last batch 3 months early. this time they didn’t. but the DVD releases keep showing a batch of about 13 episodes about once every 13 weeks.

          i was actually being nice going back to sept 2009, since that’s when the first individual volume was released. if you look at only the box sets, as of the 29th of this month, we will have gotten 166 dubbed episodes in 155 weeks. in that same time there will have been 153 subbed episodes.

          and by the way, the upcomming DVD release is 12 weeks after this one, so I don’t know where you’re getting 4 months from, when it’s not even 3 months.

I have no idea where the hell you come up with 8000$ a year to watch Naruto. I watch it on a website, not cable you dip. There are 4 weeks to a month, which means to go at a rate of 1 episode per week, they’d have to come out every 3 months. Now, I may lose you here, but I’m going to explain anyway. What you say is that there has been 166 episodes in 169 weeks, which would mean there has been a 3 week set back on English dubbed episodes. Here is where you are wrong, 3 weeks does not equal 3 months. The next set doesn’t come out for 4 months. This alone would mean that after the next 12 have released, if your 1 per week theory was correct, that it would total up to 166 episodes in 182 weeks, or 3 years 6 months and 2 weeks. I didn’t even go back over the last 3 years and calculate the amount of time Naruto has been set back from releasing. If I had to guess though, I’d say it was just shy of 205 weeks. How many more times must I shoot down your uneducated theories on how often Naruto comes out and how much my cable bill is? Feel free to come up with some other dumb speech about how I pay 8 grand a year on cable to watch Naruto on this website. I’d love to hear it, I’ll be waiting.

          I’m not going to keep arguing, but since you kinda seem like you’re willing to listen, and just not getting what I said last time, I will make some point-by-point clarifications.

          -We all watch Naruto for free because we’re cheap bastards. The thing about the $8000 was a hypothetical example that didn’t have anything to do with Naruto. The example was the show “24″ on Fox, starring Keifer Sutherland, that was on for 8 years. So that $8000 was for 8 years of cable, not one year. I didn’t mean to imply that you personally watch 24 or pay $83/mo for cable, but to make the larger point that people who value seeing shows when they first come out end up spending a lot of money over a long period of time.

          -When I reference the rate of the release of the dubbed episodes, I’m only talking about the North American DVD Box sets. Not narutospot, not itunes, not Amazon, not Disney XD, not torrents, not any other source than the DVD box sets. You can see the release dates on Amazon or Wikipedia or wherever. They have never been setback or delayed. The first box set came out on January 26th, 2010. Since that time, they have released a box set, without fail, every 3 months, one in January, one in April, one in July/August, and one in October. Sometimes it’s a little more than 3 months, sometimes it’s a little less than 3 months, but they release 4 box sets a year any which way you slice it. The set containing 154-166 actually hasn’t been released yet. It will be released on the 29th of this month. From the date of the release of the 1st box set, January 26th, 2010, to the date of the release of the upcomming 13th box set, January 29th, 2013, there’s 157 weeks, because a year is 52 weeks, and 52*3 is 156, plus the few extra days here and there makes 157 weeks. So in 157 weeks, we will have gone from having zero dubbed episodes to having 166 dubbed episodes. During that same 157-week span, they will have released episodes 145-297 in Japan, which is 153 episodes. To be totally fair, let’s not even count that first box set, and just say, after that first set was already released, counting after that day and up to the 29 of this month, exactly 153 additional episodes will have been released in both subs and dubs. The same exact number of dubs as subs over a 3 year span, that’s my whole point.

          -Please, for your own sake, stop saying the last set (154-166) was 12 episodes. I know you see the 4 at the end of 154 and the 6 at the end of 166 and your brain tells you that those digits are 2 apart, so you think it’s 12 episodes, but that’s not how it works. In much the same way that, if they were releasing episodes 1-10, it’s 10 episodes, not 9. 154-166 is 13 episodes. Count them one at a time if you need to.

          -When you say the last set of episodes took 6 months to come out, you must be talking about when they were available on narutospot (or online in general). That happened because itunes had the set before that (141-153) available 3 months before those episodes were actually released on DVD. Then last October, when 141-153 were released on DVD, and everyone thought 154-166 would be released online, that didn’t happen. So even though the DVD releases stayed on schedule and were not delayed at all, it made the online community feel like there was a big gap because we didn’t have the luxury of getting 154-166 essentially 3 months early, as had been the case for the last few sets.

          -You keep saying the next set doesn’t come out for another 4 months. I don’t know what you mean by that. Set 13 comes out January 29th. Set 14, which contains 13 episodes, comes out April 23rd, which is actually 12 weeks later. 12 weeks is not 4 months. It’s not even 3 months, unless all 3 of those months are somehow February. That’s 13 episodes in 12 weeks.

          You may think that there has been no delays in the releases of Naruto dubbed, but that’s completely incorrect. 141-153 released back in July, or some time near then. These last 13 were supposed to release on September 25th, then were bumped to October 9th, then finally to January 29th. That puts 3 sets of dubbed episodes out last year, not 4. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the dubbed episodes come out on this site as soon as the people who run it obtain it. I’m glad you took the time to correctly type everything out though, it made it a lot easier to read. However, you’re still incorrect when it comes down to the release dates and how often they come out.

          And by the way the next one is to be released on January 29 2013 which I believe to be still true. But I’ll let you know now I already have that boxset as my unsavory ways have already gained possession of it and if you don’t believe me I’ll gladly give you a dual audio sample of any of the 154 to 166 eps you want.

        That’s a good thing. It shows you have a lot of patience when it comes to what you like. Most people who spend days commenting on the dubbed episodes don’t have that much patience though. I always come back and read the comments just for a few laughs. You’ve never heard people cry until you listen to them cry about Naruto dubbed release dates, that’s for sure.

        True, but a Naruto episode is a Naruto episode, and our addiction is being fed once per week, whereas Dub watchers have to wait 3-6 months for a simple 12 episodes that may or may not be filler. Between Bleach Manga, Naruto subbed and Naruto Manga, I’m not as bothered by 1 release a week, be it filler or not, as i would be with 12 episodes every 4 months. Not to mention, “power” was a pretty decent 6 episode filler arc, so I don’t mind too much. It’s also nice that it’s done with fillers for the foreseeable future.

          I get ya. For me, I can’t wait one a week, it drives me crazy to see 20 minutes a week, it doesn’t fulfill it for me. I would actually like to take a couple month break, than go back. But waiting twice as much as usually is cold blooded for dub to do that. Plus when I switch to sub, dub had the 80 fillers, one a week, then a two year break. So when I switch it was during the break, and no telling if dub would come back. You probably remember that, I’ve been watching for almost 6 years, and most watchers have only seen this for a year or two. So just saying they haven’t waited much yet.

      Yeah, it sucks, im guessing why you went to sub same as me? Also ppl stop raging on sub ppl. they could easily destroy the whole story for you just a little warning.

    Actually, the pain arc ends at 174. And 170-171 are fillers.

        It makes perfect sense. Everything regarding Pain is finished at episode 174, but episode 170 and 171 are not related to the story line at all. So basically, there are only 6 episodes left in the Pain arc before it hits the 175-196 filler arc. I hope that clears it up a bit.

        How does it not make sense? The whole pain stuff ends at 174, but 170-171 are fillers. The series adds in two random filler episodes right there, and the setting is in Konoha… when Naruto first became a genin.

    Back to the waiting game, dub voices are worth it though. As a wise person once said “oh well”
    Said that after this we gotta sit through the leaf history arc *shivers*
    I’m not giving up though, dub voices are heaven and sub voices suck, at episode 295 and still disliking them
    Storm 3 better have a great dub. I rather see that then a certain someone

War lol, what war’s are you refering to that affects viz media’s production of dubbed naruto episodes? You act as if we don’t have a right to whine I mean we had to wait this long for 12 episodes now another 4 months. I doubt any economic issues are slowing down the production of the dubbed episodes let’s be real, they’ve had more than enough time to dub more than 12 episodes.

      The best was probably killa bee and Sasuke, or deidara and Sasuke. This one was good, but mediocre compared to the other two. But don’t ask to not get raged on, when your talkingshit. It looks, well weak.

      The best fight is easily Naruto vs Kurama. Not just because it had more flashy lights, but it was the largest victory Naruto has ever had. The 9 tails has pretty much been controlling him the entire time, but once he pulled out it’s chakra, he could finally reach his full potential. Pain vs Naruto pales in comparison to his fight with Kurama.

    Well by your logic, dub is poor asfuck. Sub, they animate the show, which is the majority of the show, and pay multiple sub actors. Dub has less voice actors, and just need them to dub the voices, so how does it take them longer to do much less.
