You don’t need handsigns to substitute, they’re like training wheels for most jutsu, anyone seen Deidara’s backstory? Apparently as a child in the village hidden in th boulders or mountains, whatever that village is, he was neglected and had to eat paste to survive, and so the clay fetish began!
