          RanDom, i think the NarutoFAN is referring to when they were searching for the Akatsuki hideout to retrieve gaara. And yes, itachi did lose. But think back, the bodies that were used for that jutsu only received 30% of itachi and kisame’s chakra:) so truthfully, it wasn’t ACTUALLY itachi. i’m pretty sure it was captain Ura of the sand that lost, using 30%of itachi’s chakra. which is also why Itachi couldn’t use the Tsukuyomi, or mangekyo sharingan
