      I know the guy you’re talking about, the guy with the burn/wrinkle marks on his face in this episode is the one who was the messenger between the Hokage and the proctor for the final rounds of the Chunin Exam. When Orochimaro made his move, a bunch of kunai knives hit the guy and he told the Hokage to run. Naruto and Sasuke were hit many times like that in previous episodes and lived, so it’s no surprise that this guy lived since he was able to talk after he was hit.
