      1: It’d be too much of a drag for him
      2: He can’t hold his jutsu
      3: He’s a support fighter
      4: He’s considered good because of his tactical skills and IQ level, which means he only works well in groups. This means he’s not good on his own.
      5: He’s not a fighter, meaning if the village was attacked by some really strong guy, he’d get stomped because he can’t to jack by himself.

        To tell the truth the idea that hokage must be a strong fighter is a big mistake itself. Because it ends up with a fighter stuck in the village and all that he must do is thinking and talking. You know, Shikamaru would be much better hokage than Tsunade all the rest of them. They are warriors, let them fight =)

        Well he is good on his own, like in that fight with tayuya from the sound 4, but the thing is he seriously cant hold his jutsu for long and hes kinda weak :P
