      Why do people like a character? Why do people hate a character? Why is it acceptable to like a character, but hating a character isn’t? Why is it that we automatically have no lives when we hate a certain character?

      You, sir, are unable to differentiate between hatred in real life and hatred for a fictional character. The show is made for you to either love or hate the character. If it works- then the author did an amazing job. It is but mere entertainment; we like to enjoy ourselves, and thus, we like to really get into the story.

      Dragging real life into this situation is beyond irrelevant.

      Go be “cool” somewhere else.

        Liking and not liking a character is fine, but hating on a fictional character as if he was real and breathing is pretty lame and the show is made for entertainment not for loving or hating characters.

        Sure if people aren’t sucked in the character and think he’s bland then yeah the show, movie or whatever isn’t successful. There are all this discussions, blogs, sites where they specially hate on anime characters. Why? I don’t know and that is really lame too. Just enjoy the anime. Why would people go out of their way just to hate on a fictional character?

        Kinda the same with Justin Bieber. People hate him, make stupid jokes about him, call him a fag, gay, a girl etc. The question is why? Why people hate on him like that? He’s famous, has money and girls and people talk mean shit about him. I smell jealousy, but i could be wrong.
